Twitter Replier is a browser extension that helps you draft replies to tweets on X (formerly Twitter) using an AI model of your choice. Your privacy matters, so this policy explains exactly what the extension does and does not do with your data.
In short: the extension has no servers of its own. It does not collect, store, or transmit your data to us. Everything runs in your browser, and any data leaving your device goes directly to the AI provider you configure.
1. Information We Collect
Twitter Replier does not collect any personal information, analytics, or telemetry. We have no backend service and no account system. Specifically:
- Your settings (selected provider, model, and preferences) are stored locally in your browser only.
- We do not track your browsing activity, identity, or usage.
2. How Tweet Content Is Used
To generate a reply, the extension reads the text of the tweet you are replying to and sends it to the AI provider you have configured. This happens only when you ask it to generate a reply.

Ollama (local): if you use a local Ollama model,
tweet text is sent only to the Ollama server running on your own
machine (
localhost). Nothing leaves your device.
The extension does not store a history of tweets or generated replies.
3. Permissions
The extension requests the minimum permissions needed to work:
- Storage — to save your settings and locally in your browser.
- Access to x.com — to add the reply button and read tweet text on the X website only.
- Access to localhost — to communicate with a local Ollama server if you choose to use one.
4. Data Security
Because your and settings are stored only in your browser's local extension storage, their security depends on the security of your device and browser profile. We recommend using with appropriate scopes and revoking any key you no longer use.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date.
